iPhone already has it, and it’s the next big thing in terms of communication–courtesy of the high-powered communication mega-giant Skype. It’s no surprise, really. But now it’s only getting hotter….
The reason being is this: Skype is now making their renowned video chat ability available for the Motorola Droid. You can only expect that many other smartphones will experience the powerful app of Skype, allowing you not only to talk to someone on your phone but to see them on the screen. It’s like bringing your webcam with you!
The latest CES featured Skype’s new innovation on the newest Droid model, the prototype Droid Bionic. That’s an especially big deal given the Droid utilizes Verizon’s 4G Network, which will make those calls lightning fast and easy to use without any drops or oversized pixels. Clearly you’ll be able to see them, well, clearly!
However, while at CES, the demo Skype was working on wasn’t a ‘working’ demo; it wasn’t something the public could play around with. But it was far along into the development enough for Skype to showcase it and boast about it to those looking for the next generation in communication technology. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Skype’s up to very big things for 2011. Apple better watch out, especially given that the massive communications monster company has acquired Qik, a leading mobile video sharing service, and is aiming their guns directly at Apple on the communications front.
Keep your eyes peeled and your ears planted onto the digital grindstone, because Skype’s coming up with the very best, for all mobile services, too. They first hit the iPhone, and now it’ll be the Droid. Who knows, Blackberry might be next!
